Graduation Cards

Graduation Cards

I thought I’d do one more post about past projects. A few years ago, my sister asked if I would make my nephew’s graduation announcements. Of course I said yes, and immediately started making a list of supplies that I might need.

I ended up with a few layouts, each including my nephew’s senior picture. I used the school colors – royal blue and white. I was able to find matching bakers twine at my local craft store to make the tassels. As the background was a bit plain, I stamped and then heat embossed graduation caps on the blue paper using Versamark ink and clear embossing powder (it looks blue in the pictures). I used my Cricut to die cut the year and hand cut the graduation cap used on one of the layouts.

I also created some coordinating Thank You cards sticking with the royal blue and white theme.  I kept the layout very simple and uncluttered to create a more masculine feel to the cards.
